Every year, 70~80% of electrical fire are caused by arc fault. As estimated, 485 deaths and USD 8,680,000 in property losses annually are associated with fire caused by electrical installations in homes, commercial and industrial buildings where are only protected by Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) and Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI), which do not provide arc fault protection.

Arc fault is an electrical discharge in a current-carrying conductor between conductors or ground. This discharge causes arcs of varying intensity that are sufficient to ignite the conductor insulation and material in its vicinity.

Arcontek‘s Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) or Arc Fault Detection Device (AFDD) is a intelligent device that can detect arc fault. A tripping mechanism in built-in to interrupt power to an electric circuit in the event of an arc fault. Presently, Arcontek has Cord-Type AFCI, Circuit-Breaker-Type AFCIs, and Power-Strip-Type AFCI but Arcontek‘s AFCIs are available in many forms and features, including outlets, receptacles and other systems.
Arcontek wants to make sure these intelligent devices reach every home, manufacturer, contractor and every electrical practitioner.

Save Lives and Properties with Arcontek‘s AFCI against electrical fire!
